President Uhuru Kenyatta splashed millions at his Gender Permanent Secretary, Safina Kweke's, homecoming ceremony in Kwale on Saturday, September 7.
"I came here to celebrate with you. I always travel to any place that has a Kenyan flag as I am the President. I know you have a Harambee that will be conducted later.
"Therefore, I am donating Ksh1 million personally and I will ensure that the Education Ministry through the Infrastructure Fund will add Ksh10 million to build this school where the PS studied," Uhuru announced on KTN News.
Uhuru further praised the PS as a hardworking and trustworthy official.
"For the moment we have worked with her, she has shown that she is ready to ensure that we have an inclusive focused working service in Kenya. By coming here today, I have been able to join you and also thank you for giving us a PS to work with," the head of state applauded.
Uhuru also praised the women of Kenya, stating that he had recognised their increased efforts towards building the country.
"Women are working harder. They are called trailblazers because when given a chance to work, they do it diligently and with zeal.
"To all young women here, emulate Ms. Safina. She is a mother and has also studied here. Work hard and one day one of you should look at being the first woman President of Kenya," he urged.
Uhuru finally revealed, albeit without much detail, the major reason why he made changes in government on Friday, September 7.
"We had realised that we made a few errors and therefore worked out to amend the errors," he revealed.
