Uhuru's Dream for Kenya That Most Believe Will End in Tears

President Uhuru Kenyatta, on Friday, September 6, disclosed his dream for Kenya in regard to development.

Speaking in Statehouse Mombasa, where he lectured leaders on the essence of the handshake and why they should shun divisive politics.

According to Uhuru, Kenya had the potential to be like Singapore and other countries like China, all the nation needed to do was take the initiative.

"There is no reason why Kenya should not be where Singapore and the Asian Tigers are. There is nothing that is supposed to be done that does not exist on one shelf or another on our Kenyan archives. All we need to do is just dust the shelf," he argued.

The president further clarified that Kenya was working just as hard as other nations to be at par with developed countries and all these plans would materialize if Kenyans put an end to fighting each other.

"We have the infrastructure and now we want to get our people decent work like Djibouti, Mozambique Dar es salaam and Mogadishu, the president assured.

"We can only develop if we have the infrastructure and stop fighting each other," Uhuru advised.

He thus urged Kenyans to plan for the future stating that, "The best gift we can give to this country is planning for the future."

The president further encouraged that the handshake between him and AU Envoy Raila Odinga, was for purposes of peace and progress in development for the country because "one can never achieve anything if they work alone."

Most Kenyans, however, did not take Uhuru's speech lightly as they felt it was more of words without actions.

David Muya, a social media user declared the country's development was in a vegetative constant rise in corruption and foreign debts in Uhuru's government.

"Were it not for Uhuru's poor leadership, state capture, and cronies, former President Mwai Kibaki left us at an ample take-off point only for the "dynamic duo" to sadden our lives with massive debts which were looted! UhuRuto journey will end in tears.

He went as far as attaching a hilarious signpost to support his argument that insinuated that the alliance between the two, will not have a happy ending.
