Popular Gospel Musician Cries Uncontrollably on NTV [VIDEO]

Popular gospel musician Bahati, on Friday evening, broke into tears during an interview with fellow artist and presenter Anto Neosoul on NTV's The Trend show.

The two were talking about Bahati’s upbringing when Anto asked the EMB Records boss whether he feels as though his late mother is proud of what he has been able to accomplish.

“When your mum looks down at you from heaven, what do you think she thinks about Bahati?” the presenter asked.

“At times miss her…” the Kumbe Kumbe hitmaker started, with tears rolling down his face and subsequently apologising for it.

“At times I’m misunderstood but I’m only trying my best, you know, to make her proud,” he went on.

“As much as they (ABC children’s home) took care of me, you still miss the love of a mother,” Bahati continued.

The philanthropic artist explained that he loves to give back to society because he was also helped to get to where he is.

He further disclosed that ever since he started his record label, he hasn’t earned money from the artists he signed on.

“Record labels in Kenya are dead because new artists are not making money. I have never made any money from the artists I have supported ever since I started.

“It is just in me. Someone supported me so I have to keep supporting them, even when I am insulted for doing it,” Bahati spoke.

He also told viewers that he hopes to open a children’s home in order to assist less fortunate children to lead better lives.
