Jalang'o's Biggest Regret After Ride in Uhuru's Car [VIDEO]

Radio presenter Felix Odiwour alias Jalang’o recalled his experience when he rode in the back of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s vehicle.

Jalas, as he is popularly known, was having a conversation with Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange in 2017 and narrated the day he was offered a lift by Uhuru.

The comedian was the MC at an event in Upperhill, Nairobi, where President Kenyatta (Then Minister for Finance ) was the chief guest.

After the function was over, the guest was escorted by the event officials, among them Jalang’o who was fortunate enough to share an elevator with him.

“He asked me casually, where did you park?” the radio presenter narrated.

“I told him, ‘you know, because you were coming here, some of us were not allowed to come closer, so I left my car at The Kenya National Theatre. I will take a taxi',” Jalas answered back.

Uhuru then asked the comedian to ride to town in his car. He graciously accepted the generous offer.

Recalling the experience of travelling with Uhuru from Nairobi's Upperhill to the Treasury Building, Jalang’o stated, “He’s a very easy guy, he creates conversations out of everything. He was very concerned about everything that was happening, he asked questions."

When President Kenyatta reached his destination, they bid farewell to each other, after which Jalang'o realised the opportunity he had lost.

“I didn’t ask for anything. I really regret. Alikuwa anadhani mimi niko na pesa bwana. Saa hiyo mimi nilikuwa nimesota ile mbaya. (He thought I was rich, but at the time I was very broke)," the comedian recalled, amid laughter from the two presenters, during a morning show at Hot 96 FM.
