Murkomen Goes Head to Head With KTN Show Host

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen on Sunday, September 22, went head to head with KTN show host Tony Gachoka in what was a Twitter fight.

The legislator took on the political analyst over the controversial cancellation of the Kimwarer dam project.

Murkomen posted a video of Kimwarer river on his Twitter account and in a way, lamented over the decision of the president to cancel the project.

"The beautiful Kimwarer River. One day the devil and his lies will be ashamed. Long live the truth. Video recorded by Area MCA JK Tanui and forwarded by Meshack Kiplagat," he stated.

In response, Tony Gachoka, who hosts Point Bank on KTN, stated that the dam project was cancelled because of corruption perpetrated by leaders in the region.

"Uhuru cancelled your pet project of Kimwarer Dam because of unimaginable looting; how the leadership of the rift including you can steal from their own people and deny them prosperity later to blame Mt. Kenya and our president is beyond me," Gachoka stated.

Without missing a beat, Murkomen lashed back, "Concentrate on attacking William Ruto at Point Blank. The last time you swore with all your life that UhuRuto will be jailed in Hague when did the president become yours?"

He went further to state that the reason the project was cancelled hadn't anything to do with corruption rather the viability report.

"The reasons given by the purported technical committee have nothing to do with corruption. They are alleging that the project is not viable because there is no sufficient water. Stop fooling yourself corruption used initially as an excuse didn’t work they changed tact," Murkomen explained.

Murkomen went further to ask Gachoka on when he would host Baringo Senator Gideon Moi to address reports linking him to profits gained through the civil war in South Sudan.
