Annoyed Father Drags Wanted Son to Police Station

It is said that a parent’s love is so strong that they could harbour an errant child even if they are a risk to the community.

That was not the case for a father from Huruma, Nairobi, who helped catch robbery suspects after he frog-marched his own son to the area police station, upon learning that he was a wanted man.

His son was taken into custody and led to the arrest of more suspects, who police claimed robbed businessman Noah Kitonyi at Mathare in August.

Although Rooney Bob Agego, George Owino Okoth, Evans Ochieng, Agengo Masika and Gabriel Batistuta are behind bars, one of their colleagues is still in hiding.

Kitonyi was robbed by six men at gunpoint after being set up.

Police believe that one of the victim’s friends stabbed him in the back, by luring him into his house where the incident is said to have happened.

The suspects will be arraigned in court on Monday as police wrap up investigations.

Investigators had applied to detain the gang for five days but a Nairobi magistrate gave them only two days.

Elsewhere in the city, two bodies were on Saturday, September 28 found dead along the North Bypass.

According to a police report from Karen Police Station, officers on patrol responded to sounds of gunshots at around 4am.

Upon arrival, they found a silver Toyota Fielder with two bodies inside and the vehicle riddled with bullet holes.
