Citizen TV anchor Jeff Koinange and Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria, on Saturday, September 28, shelved their work personas and thrilled music lovers in an unforgettable night of song and dance.
Dubbed Country Roads, the event hosted at Thika Greens Golf Resort over the weekend attracted a massive crowd, and with the old Ksh 1,000 notes cleared for use, hundreds of fun-seeking Kenyans made their way to the grounds.
Clad in the complete cowboy regalia, the Emmy award-winning journalist took to the stage alongside Sir Elvis and serenaded the crowd with hit after hit, bringing the entire crowd to its feet.
Koinange's love for country music is an open secret but it was his actual performance alongside the veteran country music crooner that stole the show.
He surprised the country music enthusiasts with well-timed ad-libs as well as impressive notes, as he hyped up the masses throughout the entire event.
"Thika Greens is completely shut down! Thank you, folks. This is a movement, wow! Somebody say oh my!" he posted on his facebook page following the show.
The Gatundu South legislator was spotted having the time of his life in the crowd and asked to get up on stage, where he thrilled the thousands who had gathered.
Here are a few photos as well as a short clip of Koinange showing off his singing skills:
