Angry Kiambu Residents Mob Waititu's Hotel [PHOTOS]

Kiambu residents on Wednesday, October 16, took to the streets of Nairobi, demanding the resignation of Governor, Ferdinand Waititu.

The fiery crowd slowly made its way to the governor's hotel - Delta Hotel, located along University Way.

Armed with pig heads and placards, the angry mob kept chanting and demanding Waitititu's immediate resignation.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, one of the protestors, Hardson Nyaga, went on to reveal that they were fed up with the governor's administration.

"The blatant looting and monopolizing of public resources is simply unacceptable," he stated.

Once they got to Waititu's hotel, they hurled the pig heads at the eatery as a symbol of the county boss' greed.

The embattled Kiambu governor is currently facing various corruption charges in court, having recently lost a prime piece of property located in Thika, which he had allegedly allocated to Esther Nyatu.

However, during a conversation with this writer, the governor maintained that he was innocent, going on to claim that someone was out to tarnish his name.

"Ask yourself why all of these cases and allegations are being lodged me at this particular time. They have become so many and I maintain that I am the victim," he stated.
