On Wednesday, October 16, KTN Presenter Tony Gachoka was arrested at Diani Airstrip for causing a disturbance after insisting on boarding a plane with alcoholic drinks.
News broke of his arrest on the day his popular show Point Blank was scheduled to air after the Prime Time News at 9:45 p.m.
Sources from the Mombasa-road based media station who spoke to Kenyans.co.ke revealed that the show would air as planned since it was normally pre-recorded.
"The interview is usually pre-recorded and the programming will go on as scheduled," the source revealed.
The show is shot on Sunday before it is set to air on KTN on Wednesday, Kenyans.co.ke has learned.
In a promotional poster for the interview, former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando is expected to speak on the intrigues of Central Kenya politics.
"Former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando speaks about the political fatigue engulfing Central Kenya, and the dilemma President Uhuru faces in its wake and much more," the poster shared on Gachoka's social media profiles read.
Msambweni OCPD Nehemiah Bitok confirmed Gachoka's arrest stating that the tv host wanted to carry some of the drinks in his bag while walking with some in his hands, going against the airline’s rules and regulations.
He added that the Pointblank show host had started becoming rowdy and hurled insults at some the passengers who tried to calm the situation.
Gachoka is expected to be arraigned in court on Thursday, October 17 to answer to charges of causing a disturbance.
