Tony Gachoka Arrested While Boarding Nairobi-Bound Flight

KTN presenter Tony Gachoka was on Wednesday, October 16, arrested at the Diani Airstrip in Kwale.

Citizen TV reported that the media personality was arrested after he insisted on boarding a plane with alcoholic drinks.

Msambweni OCPD Nehemiah Bitok confirmed the incident and stated that Gachoka wanted to be allowed to board the plane with the drinks he was carrying, going against the airline’s regulations.

He added that the Pointblank show host had started becoming rowdy and hurled insults at some the passengers who tried to restore calmness.

Gachoka is expected to be arraigned in court on Thursday, October 17, to answer to charges of causing a disturbance.

In 2015, the Gachoka was banned from appearing as a guest on Jeff Koinange Live (JKL), which aired on KTN at the time.

Gachoka's ban came after he allegedly turned up for the live show while highly intoxicated and uttered defamatory statements against senior Government officials.

"Gachoka produced a lot of shockers of his own and we at KTN feel we had to take a stand because of his mannerism and behavior and what he was saying. Going forward from now on Tony Gachoka will no longer be a guest on this show," Koinange announced.
