During the horrific Molo incident, local residents said the truck that was on its way to Eldoret from Nakuru, overturned shortly after 6 P.M. spilling its content.

As the locals scampered to siphon petrol, the vehicle burst into flames at around burning everyone and everything in the vicinity.

Some of those who were carrying jerricans full of siphoned petrol died in a forest or along the roadside as they attempted to flee from the fire.
