Lonyangapuo Boldly Dares Uhuru's CS in Fiery Outburst [VIDEO]

West Pokot Governor John Lonyang'apou has called out Education CS George Magoha for cracking the whip on schools with substandard structures.

Speaking to residents in his county, the governor termed Magoha's move as unreasonable.

"Peace in West Pokot has started prevailing after pupils were taken to school and now with your stupidity and ego, you decide to close the schools," he lamented in a video that surfaced online on October 18, 2019.

An angry Lonyangapou claimed that the Ministry of Education had a lot of funds that were being embezzled.

"That is why the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission has a lot of work because thieves have become too many," he claimed.

Further, he vowed he would not allow any school from his county to be closed.

On September 25, the CS ordered the closure of unsafe schools after a learning institution in Nairobi, Precious Talents Academy, claimed the lives of eight children when a classroom collapsed.

"From now on, any school that looks like what I have shut down should be closed. Nobody should wait for us to shut them down.

"We have officers on the ground. But in the process, to be humane that even as we shut them down, can we ensure that there are schools where the minors can be relocated to,” Magoha had stated.
