Details of Raila's Mega Rally in Nairobi

The ODM Party on Friday, October 25, announced that opposition chief Raila Odinga would be the chief guest during a mega rally scheduled for Kibra in Laini Saba Grounds on October 27, 2019 at 2PM.

The rally is set to be the final nail in the coffin for Jubilee Party that hopes to overturn ODM's popularity in the region.

Raila is expected to drum up support for ODM's candidate Bernard 'Imran' Okoth, whose biggest rival is Mcdonald Mariga who enjoys the support of the ruling party.

ODM Deputy Party leader Wycliffe Oparanya was on October 26 scheduled to lead a series of campaign rallies in Kibra in preparation for the Sunday event.

Oparanya will target Church of God in Laini Saba Ward, PEFA Church in Makina ward, and the Christadelphian Bible Mission (Kenya) CBM (Next to the Legio Maria Church) in Woodley.

On October 24, Imran was joined by COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli, Makadara MP George Aladwa, and ODM Director of Youth Affairs Benson Musungu, where they addressed members of the Luhya community, asking them to vote for Imran in the November 7 by-election.

Imran's bid for the Kibra parliamentary seat has welcomed support from even a section of Jubilee leaders led by Nominated MP Maina Kamanda.

Apart from Mariga, ODM's candidate will face stiff competition from ANC's Eliud Owalo along with 23 others.
