Despite President Uhuru Kenyatta being the most powerful man in the country, there is information about the first family that is still under wraps.
The head of state has three siblings; Wambui Pratt, Muhoho Kenyatta and Anna Nyokabi Muthama.
The president's sister, Nyokabi Kenyatta Muthama, serves as a director at The Kenyatta Trust, which educates disadvantaged youth in academic, moral, spiritual, social, economic and life skills through the provision of financial aid, in the form of continued scholarships and mentorship.
Though not much is known about Nyokabi's educational and professional background, she has penned a letter on the organisation's website, expressing gratitude to all the beneficiaries and mentors of the program, for their hard work.
"I wish to thank our mentors, who have graciously lent their expertise and support in the development of this trust. They have continued to support us with their participation in various activities by contributing time, skills and resources.
"I also acknowledge The Kenyatta Trust beneficiaries who continue to enjoy the benefits of all our programs, and for their continuous hard work in their various schools. I also wish to thank all our partners for their continued support," Nyokabi is quoted by the organisation.
She directs in the company together with her niece Ngina Kenyatta.
Ngina's desire is to see that Kenyan children continue to receive quality education after completing primary school.
“As a director of The Kenyatta Trust, I have committed to transforming the lives of the beneficiaries not only through education but through social empowerment, skills building and mentorship.
“Through The Kenyatta Trust, we plan to bring up children who are not only equipped with the academic know-how but are well rounded in all aspects of life,” the president's daughter's letter reads.
