Award-winning Gospel Artist Forced to Sell His Car

Celebrated Kenyan gospel artist, Audiphaxad Peter Omwaka popularly known as Guardian Angel, on Monday, October 28,  announced that he was placing his Mercedes Benz e-class up for sale.

Taking to his official Instagram page, the gospel dancehall and reggae musician asked any interested buyers to contact him through the same platform.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, the Nadeka hitmaker stated that he had decided to pour everything he had including his car, to help in the reconstruction of a boarding facility at the Kariobangi Outreach Children's home.

"The children's centre is in a dire state after one of its facilities burned down approximately 2 months ago. This has really affected the kids who have been forced to sleep in groups of 2 or 3 on a single tiny bed," he disclosed.

He went on to open up on the reason behind his latest move, being the fact that he was more focused on coming up with sustainable long-term solutions for such facilities.

Omwaka also confirmed that he had decided to focus most of his outreach work on such establishments as they held a special place in his heart, having been brought up in a children's home himself.

"I love this car deeply but sometimes you can only tell how much you love when you are willing to let go," he shared on his Instagram page.

Guardian Angel, as he is popularly known, also revealed that he was going to focus on the Kariobangi-based home until it was running at optimum capacity before moving on to other similar facilities.

He was recently reunited with his father at an emotional event engineered by pastor Didzweit Achero.

“This has been the hardest thing in my life, Thanks to Rev. Didzweit Achero. Today I reconciled with my Dad. It is a special day indeed. Glory to God," he shared.
