Sonko's Leaked Whatsapp Messages Reveal His Favourite Kibra Candidate [VIDEO]

Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko on Saturday, November 2, took to Facebook to explain his failure to reply WhatsApp messages, claiming he had been offline for a while and thus all the messages were in flowing at that moment.

In the process, the governor filmed his phone as the messages from tens of WhatsApp groups flowed into his phone.

Among the groups that the governor received messages from, were some meant to drum up support for McDonald Mariga.

The group dabbed 'Mariga for MP Kibra' had over 200 messages and the topmost read that "Kibra Kutawaka" as per the video Sonko shared on his Facebook page. Also worth noting is that the county chief was not a member of groups campaigning against the ex-football star.

Among other peculiar groups that the governor was a member, was Single to Mingle.

When reached for comments Nairobi County Director of Communications Jacob Elkana played coy with the information stating that there was more to be done in the county rather engage in Kibra politics.

It wouldn't be a surprise for the Nairobi governor to support Mariga because he was also a member of Jubilee Party.

In the recent past, Sonko had been on the spotlight after several videos that he had recorded surfaced on the internet with some being extremely controversial.

On Wednesday, October 31, the governor went on an angry rant after allegations that he was being sought by EACC were published in the media.

Sonko angrily lashed out while defending his name against reports that the EACC had summoned him to explain his past criminal life.

The governor compared his tribulations to President Uhuru Kenyatta's, which he faced in 2013 at the ICC.
