ODM MP Advises Raila on How to Revenge Uhuru's Deception

On November 10, ODM, led by party leader Raila Odinga, held a thanksgiving rally at DC Grounds in Kibra following Bernard 'Imran' Okoth's win in the November 7 mini-poll.

Interestingly, in an address to the public, Makadara MP, reiterated his undying support for Odinga.

Aladwa advised the former premier to watch out for president Uhuru Kenyatta come 2022. He asked President Uhuru Kenyatta not to deceive Odinga.

He then cautioned that if there were signs of deception, the ODM leader should outsmart the president.

The legislator went on to reiterate that the fate of the handshake depended entirely on Raila, and that his followers would turn their backs on it if he advised so.

"I want Uhuru to hear this. Let Uhuru not deceive you in 2022, when you sense deception, deceive him. If you told us that the handshake is over today we would not hesitate to make a u-turn," he spoke.

Aladwa's statement came amid an ongoing succession battle, and confusion about whether Odinga will contest the presidency in the next General Election.

In the spirit of uniting the nation, President Uhuru Kenyatta and former prime minister Raila Odinga shook hands in March 2018, bringing to a halt the chaos that followed the 2017 General Election.

Their relationship, however, fuelled division within the ruling party since many of Deputy President William Ruto's supporters have concerns about Odinga's dalliance with the president.
