Kivutha Kibwana Bags Prestigious Award

Makueni Governor Prof Kivutha Kibwana was on Saturday, November 23, awarded the most Outstanding Public servant of the Year at Movenpick Hotel and Residence in Nairobi.

The event was organized by the League of Young Professionals (LYP) a non-profit organization that brings together professionals from diverse fields.

"Last night was a special evening for me to have been feted as the Most Outstanding Public Servant of the Year by League of Young Professionals during their first-ever Gamechangers Awards," the governor’s post read.

The League of Professional was celebrating 10 years anniversary since its formation.

Prof Kibwana urged Kenyans to hold their leaders accountable for their actions.

Other award categories included CSR Project of the Year, Young company of the Year.

The governor urged leaders and Kenyans, in general, to hold each other accountable for their actions in order to bring change.

"I wish we could hold each other accountable to be citizens of high ethical standards and bring about change in our different spheres of influence," the governor’s post read.

This Game Changers award ceremony came just hours after the governor was part of Utumishi Bora award ceremony which was held in Serena Hotel Nairobi.

He presented awards to various awardees including Citizen TV’s Waihiga Mwaura who scooped the Media Champion award.
