Governor Waititu Announces Comeback

Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu on November 30, announced hopes in getting back to his official duties as the county chief and operate from his headquarters.

In a video obtained by Kenyans.co.ke, Governor Waititu expressed hope in making the comeback before the end of the year.

“I have been praying to get my leadership power back and these prayers are getting answered soon. I believe I will be back to the office within the month of December,” remarked Waititu while speaking in Limuru.

Further, Waititu castigated his political enemies, including his deputy James Nyoro, terming them as opportunists who only rode on his misfortunes to attain power through the back door.

“There are people I carried on my back to clinch power. They used my ride to get to their offices in the County Government of Kiambu but later became betrayal chiefs.

“We know them and how they have worked hard to bring me down. We are eventually fighting our way out and we shall emerge victoriously,” added Waititu.

The governor couldn’t close without talking of his political bravado, exhibiting much courage in winning his battles, terming himself as a politician who cannot be threatened.

“I have fought many political battles in my political career, this is no exception. I have always been a winning politician and this is not a war to lose.

“My enemies may try to insult me and tarnish my name with the intention of gaining political mileage through tarnishing my name. This does not contribute to leaving me beaten in any way,” further remarked Waititu.

At the same event, Kiambu Sports CEC Karungo Thang’wa came to the defence of the governor, promising to continue supporting him in restoring the status of the county.

“I am the person who has suffered the most because I have always supported the governor. My stand cannot change because of unending threats from my enemies,” he spoke

The county minister has faced impeachment by Kiambu County Assembly but he was able to obtain stay orders from the courts, barring his ouster.
