Ruto Ordered to Follow Uhuru's BBI Directive [VIDEO]

Siaya Senator James Orengo, on Saturday, November 30, sent out a stern warning to Deputy President William Ruto regarding the recently launch Building Bridges Initiative report.

Speaking during a fundraiser at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Secondary school in Bondo, Kisumu, the Minority Leader demanded the DP to follow President Uhuru Kenyatta's directive on the BBI lest he finds himself tossed aside.

"If you are the deputy and you want to survive, you must follow the script read out by your boss," he stated.

He went on to urge Ruto to 'play ball' and follow Uhuru's directive in terms of pushing for Kenyans to adopt the BBI report to foster national unity.

"Kwa hivo bwana Ruto pia must read the script ajue mkubwa wake anasema nini. Na sisi tunasema tujumuishe waKenya wote, loosely translating to,

Ruto must follow the President's orders. On our part, we are looking to include every citizen in this discussion.

Just days after the official handover of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) task force report to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga, distinct divisions have emerged.

However, Ruto on Sunday, December 1, warned leaders against taking Kenyans for a ride.

Speaking during a Church service at the African Inland Church (A.I.C), the Deputy President specifically warned those who had been appointed to various positions by the Jubilee government.

"The big offices that you have were given to you by the Kenyan citizens and that means you should not look down on them be it boda boda riders or those who sell vegetables because the people you ridicule are the ones who put you in office," he stated.
