Kabogo Cries Out to Uhuru After His Ex-aide's Brutal Murder

Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has reached out to President Uhuru Kenyatta following the gruesome murder of his former security aide.

Speaking in Kakapel village, Teso North, over the past weekend, the former county boss argued that the president was in a position to call an inquest into Daniel Etyang's brutal murder and urged him to do so.

He further eulogised the late Etyang as a diligent worker who always dispensed his duties diligently without supervision.

“The president has powers to order for investigations to be done into the death of Etyang,” Kabogo told the mourners as reported by People Daily.

The publication further indicated that Etyang had been attached to the former governor's security detail for four years since 2013 until he was murdered in cold blood on Friday, November 22.

Daniel Etyang was shot 12 times and the Uber driver who was in his company shot 5 times as they visited a house that was occupied by two Nigerians in Ruaka.

In an earlier statement, Kabogo defended the slain officer's reputation claiming that he was not a robber, because he knew him on a personal level, having worked with him before he was moved to the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (KEMSA).

"The late Etyang was my assistant for four years, thereafter worked with the MD KEMSA.

"I can swear he was not a robber, that’s nonsense, cold-blooded murder. The killers should face the full force of the law," explained the former Governor at the time.

Etyang was laid to rest on Thursday, December 5, in Kakapel village.
