Neno Evangelism Centre Bishop Maina Ng'ang'a, on Thursday, December 19, hit out at Kenyan rapper King Kaka over his highly acclaimed spoken word track dubbed Wajinga Nyinyi.
In a video that has since gone viral, the irate man of the cloth tore into the artist for including him in his controversial song, in which he claimed the bishop was a swindler who was brazenly hoodwinking the masses in broad daylight.
This did not go down well with the pastor who took some time off during a sermon to hurl insults at the musician.
"You are an idiot. Try finding someone who is at your level. Seek out people who commute using matatus and touts, that is your level. Do you know who you are talking to, this is a commander! It's like comparing the sun and the moon," he stated.
"What sort of demon are you?" he added.
The rapper has since come out and acknowledged that he had received the message from the controversial preacher, and chose not to escalate the issue any further.
This is the second time the vocal preacher has come out to diss a musician, having had a tiff with international Snoop Dogg back on September 26.
The Neno Evangelism Centre founder Pastor James Ng’ang’a took offence after the international star shared a video of the preacher casting out demons.
King Kaka's latest track caused quite a stir, with Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru threatening to sue the rapper whose lyrics mentioned her in connection to the NYS scandal.
In her response, Waiguru ordered the celebrated musician to pull down the song from his YouTube page, an order which was later downplayed by the governor.
"To set the record straight, I totally agree with most of the sentiments expressed by Kenyans on social media on the ills bedevilling the country, and believe it's imperative that the pertinent issues raised be addressed forthwith," read a section of her statement regarding the Wajinga Nyinyi saga.
