Murkomen's Baggy Outfit at Funeral Earns Him Tongue-Lashing

Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen found himself on the receiving end on Saturday, December 21, following a wardrobe malfunction at the burial ceremony of Senator Moses Kajwang's mother.

According to a video that surfaced online, Murkomen could be seen addressing mourners while dressed in a baggy shirt.

Hawk-eyed Kenyans noticed his outfit and made a point to give their opinions about it.

In his defence, the lawmaker laughed off his wardrobe with a comical Twitter post, joking that his tailor had absolved himself of the blunder.

"My tailor is saying the problem is not the design it’s me and that I should go and grow muscles. What do I tell him?" wondered Murkomen.

The replies came in thick and fast, as journalist Jeff Koinange would say, attacking the senator's dress code and linking it to Jubilee Party's delivery.

"First your garment is made from cheap polyester material, and it was poorly done, your tailor got everything wrong including stitching," observed Muokatene Ken.

"Perfect example of what Jubilee promised vs what they decided to deliver," added Eric Mose.

"Finally a taste of your own medicine. What you (politicians) promise, vs what you actually deliver!" shared Haggai Allan.

While at the funeral, Murkomen advised former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to shelve 2022 ambitions and join hands with Deputy President William Ruto in the realisation of the recommendations in the BBI report.

"We want to see Raila and Ruto work together, set aside 2022 and ensure the implementation of the BBI because it is what can transform the country at the moment," Murkomen stated.
