Doubts Linger as Ksh12M Luxurious Car Involved in Grisly Accident

Questions were on Saturday, December 21, raised after a Mercedes G Wagon resembling that of Jeff Koinange got involved in a grisly accident.

Others claimed that the expensive machine, whose price is pegged at Ksh12 million belonged to former Radio presenter Shaffie Weru.

Reports indicated that the incident involved a concrete mixer and that Weru escaped unhurt.

In one of the photos, a person resembling the former radio presenter could be seen to inspect the damage extent of the vehicle.

It was not immediately clear where the accident took place or what caused it.

Jeff Koinange, however, responded shortly after the speculations became rife assuring his fans online that he was unhurt.

"To everyone calling, I'm fine. Thanks for checking up," he shared.

He further denied claims that he had been involved in any accidents of sorts and that his trip to Baringo was going just fine.

The Citizen TV news anchor was en route to Baringo alongside Rashid Abdalla and Professor Hamo in search of the three dancing trio he had imitated in an earlier broadcast.

"Folks, Let's give these kids an early Christmas gift. Let's all contribute and we'll invite them to JKLIVE and do the 'Moran' Dance together!" he shared.

Shaffie Weru also told K24 TV that he was safe and sound.

“I was not involved in any car crash, whatsoever. I had gone there to help the accident victim, who is my friend. If you keenly look at the pictures doing the rounds on social media, you will spot me wearing slippers and sweat pants, trying to assist where I can. That should tell you that I wasn’t involved in the accident. My friend, who was on his way to Nairobi from a golf event out of town, was involved in the crash after a commercial truck rammed his car on the front side,” he stated.
