Inside Aden Duale's Mega Camel Farm

Garissa Township MP Aden Duale on Sunday, December 22, took to social media to show photos of his camel farm.

The MP, who is also the National Assembly majority leader, retreated to his farm in Libahlow, Balambala Constituency within Garissa County for parliamentary recess.

"This is the best time for the pastoralist community after the Almighty God opened up the skies, hence plenty of pasture and water to fatten and grow the herd.

"Plenty of fresh milk and meat is found in every homestead," Duale wrote on his Twitter.

Explaining why he loves camel farming, Duale gave some interesting facts about the animals.

1. Camels' pee can be as thick as syrup because they retain water.

2. Its milk is lower in fat and sugar than cow milk.

3. A camel’s hump does not store water, it stores fat.

5. The animals can drink up to 40 gallons of water at a time.
