Ex-Citizen TV Actress Cries Out to Uhuru in Emotional Message [VIDEO]

For the second time, former Citizen TV actress Wambui Mburu has cried out to President Uhuru Kenyatta following the disappearance of her brother, George Mburu.

Mburu, who went missing in January 2013 alongside his cousin, had gone for an assignment in Mogadishu, Somalia.

Ms Wambui, through a video on her social media pages, stated that her family had sought an audience from relevant authorities over the matter, but they were yet to get help.

Former Machachari actress Wambui Mburu on Monday, December 30, cried to President Uhuru Kenyatta over the disappearance of her brother George Mburu.

"There is no office we have not visited and we were told two things by the government; one, that the government does not negotiate with terrorists and two, that we should not talk about it," she narrated.

"Six years, I have decided that enough is enough and I will speak about it because everything has been said and nothing has been done," she added.

The actress further decried that the family had not received any help from the government and went ahead to compare the situation with that of the abducted Cuban doctors.

"We have been patient as a family and the government has not helped us in any way. When the Cuban doctors disappeared, the president travelled all the way to Cuba to console the family but we are right here in Nairobi and no government official has visited to console with us.

"They are asking for a ransom and even if we were to sell everything, we wouldn't get an eighth of the money they are asking for in dollars," Wambui stated.

It is not the first time the actress is raising the matter. On August 12, 2017, Wambui wrote a letter to the president, seeking help in returning her brother home.

In the letter, Wambui stated that she and her family had tried to address the issue with relevant authorities but to no success.

"His children need their father, his wife a husband, his parents, a son and me a brother," read part of the letter.
