Kenya has relatively moved on since the death of former Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore but his wife still cherishes the happy moments they spent together.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, January 13, the seemingly heartbroken Wambui admitted that she misses her husband and counted the exact number of months since he passed on after battling cancer.
She further noted that the two enjoyed taking pictures although termed them as the failed type.
She accompanied her post with a picture of the two seemingly at a mall with Bob donning a yellow T-shirt while she had braids on.
"Mr. C., (Collymore) I miss being your personal paparazzi for our failed selfies. 6 months, 13 days, 22hrs 20mins since I last saw you. Happy Birthday, Bob Collymore, I continue to love you," she shared.
Collymore could have turned 62 years old.
The former Safaricom CEO passed away at his home on the morning of Monday, July 1, 2019 after battling Leukemia.
"It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of Robert William Collymore CEO of Safaricom PLC which occurred at his home in the morning of 1st July 2019," read the statement from Safaricom.
Before his death, Collymore had been receiving treatment at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
He is survived by his wife and four Children.
President Uhuru Kenyatta mourned the death of the celebrated telco boss.
"It is with deep sadness that I have this morning received news of the death of Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore after years of battling cancer. As a country, we've lost a distinguished corporate leader whose contribution to our national wellbeing will be missed," State House tweeted.
