Popular gospel musician Sarah Kiarie, better known as Sarah K, on Tuesday, January 14, took part in a beautifully choreographed wedding proposal from Kameme FM’s journalist David Mwangi to his girlfriend Esther Mutua during a worship service in Nairobi.
In a video shared on Facebook by the musician, the well-planned proposal started with a ring being brought to the pulpit using a drone, something that slowly got the attention of the members.
However, the choir led by Sarah K continued with the worship session, Esther not knowing what was set to happen in a short time.
Fellow presenter Jeremiah Nyaga alias Ole Msondoro, clad in Maasai attire, took to the pulpit too where he picked the wrapped ring from the drone and proceeded closer to Esther.
A confused Esther tried changing positions heading to the right side of the pulpit only for her lover to appear unexpectedly and proposed with one knee down leaving her in tears of joy.
The surprise proposal momentarily left the bride-to-be speechless who then quickly embracing David in deep affection.
As David put a proposal ring on Esther’s finger, the crowd cheered on surprised by the rare act of love.
Sarah K went forward to applaud the two indicating that it was high time young people embraced true love.
“Serve God faithfully in his house and He will eventually reward you with all that you need. I am happy for Esther and David as they mark an important stage in their lives.
“There are still great men out there who are willing to marry great ladies,” remarked Sarah K.
The popular gospel musician went forward and prayed for the two announcing their wedding that was scheduled for February 1, 2020.
Sarah K is known for a number of popular gospel hits including Liseme, Usiyeshindwa, Nina sababu ya kuabudu amongst other songs.
She also won the Groove Award for Best Female Artist in 2014.
