Churchill Show director Terrence Creative, formally known as Lawrence Macharia, and his wife, Milly Chebby, credit their thriving marriage to Daniel Ndambuki.
Appearing together on K24 TV's, Upclose With Betty, on Thursday, January 30, the couple disclosed that they were on the brink of a break up after reports emerged that Terrence had been cheating with a 19-year-old.
The duo explained that at the height of the scandal, Churchill advised them to shun the media and keep it together.
Chebby added that they were asked to avoid the media because it would fuel the scandal.
“We need to thank our boss Ndambuki. He’s been our mentor and friend. In fact, that time when all was happening he kept telling us to keep it rooted, don’t answer anyone, don’t say anything, and just be easy.
"When it happened last year, I was so confused, I almost lost it, literally. I never saw the purpose of living. Everyone spreading lies, you can’t even explain the truth or tell your side of the story,” Chebby explained.
While on the programme, Terrence admitted that during the scandal, he was at a state of confusion and credited his wife for standing with him all through the ordeal.
“There is one thing I respect about Chebet," he stated adding that a lot of those who were amplifying the story were people he knew.
"Chebet has always been here for Lawrence Mwangi Macharia. When I was in that corner, gambling, smoking, even when I was a ratchet that nobody would admire – they were not there. I really apologized to her because I betrayed her,” added Terrence.
He further noted that he considers the scandal his lowest moment and took it as a lesson since "things will always happen in life and the most important thing is to always put your wife in the loop."
The cheating rumours made rounds on social media in 2019 before he admitted on Instagram during an "ask me anything" session that, "Yes I did, through it, I’ve learnt my lesson, Milly and I will talk about it someday.”
