K24 news anchor Shiksha Arora got Kenyans talking as she showed off another of her talents, dance, in a video shared as part of the trending #JLoSuperBowl Challenge.
The video which was first shared on Tiktok on Saturday, April 11 found its way to other social platforms including Twitter and Whatsapp where Kenyans were awed by the presenter's dance skills.
The challenge which blew up on Tiktok involves people showing off their best dance choreography to their favorite part of singer Jennifer Lopez' (J-Lo) Super Bowl Halftime Show which took place on February 2 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Hollywood, Florida.
Unknown to many, Arora is a dance instructor away from the screen and runs her dance studio located at Oshwal Complex along Wambugu Road in Nairobi, as she revealed in a conversation with Kenyans.co.ke in April 2019.
"This is what I like to do during quarantine, dance with myself. Social distancing needs to be taken seriously, so it’s time you enjoy your own company good people," she captioned the video.
Her dance video caught many off-guard as they were impressed by the presenter's dance skills, having only previously rated her for her talents in journalism.
"Wow, you can really dance!" shared one Burerali reacting to the video on Tiktok.
"This is beautiful," wrote Radio Africa digital editor Oliver Mathenge on Twitter.
"Is this the same person who I see on TV?" posed Henry Nuthu.
In her conversation with Kenyans.co.ke, Arora had disclosed that it cost clients at her studio Ksh500 for an hour and fifteen minutes of dance training.
The anchor who joined K24 in 2017 quickly proved a fan favorite and has scooped various awards including being crowned the best female television personality in Kenya by The Asian Weekly, a Kenyan publication.
Arora who doubles up as a radio presenter for East FM also made headlines in January as she shared news of her engagement to her long-time boyfriend Salman Manji who proposed on vacation in South Africa.
"He asked and I said yes. Things just got real, like diamond kinda real. Thank you for making me the happiest girl in the world and for the most special day of my life!" Arora posted.
"I can’t wait to annoy you for the rest of our lives. Let’s start with forever now, shall we, Salman Manji? Starting the decade engaged," Arora wrote as she announced the engagement.
