NTV's Salim Swaleh on Saturday, May 30, put his driving skills to the test with some off-rough manoeuvreings.

In a video, posted on his Instagram account, the seasoned anchor found himself as a character in the age-old battle between land and machine.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, the anchor explained that he was taking his friend to supervise a project in a remote area of Isinya, Kajiado county when he encountered the stone bridge.

"I wasn't sure I would make it across, because it was a seasonal river and stones had been poured to make it passable," he stated.

The journalist stated that he decided to try the off-road driving capabilities of his Jeep.

"I raised the vehicle three times higher its normal clearance and drove on the rocky terrain, careful not to damage the vehicle," he stated.

The anchor carefully navigated the terrain and eventually made it to the other side.

"Yes, I made successfully and I'm currently at home," he added.

Salim who's currently off the screens as he is on leave stated that he was getting the much-needed rest as well as spending time with family.

"Currently I'm getting time to handle some of my projects but I'll be back on the screens in Mid-June," he revealed.

Before driving on a rocky surface, it is advisable to access the risks of the terrain before proceeding slowly and carefully.

Make sure you secure anything inside the vehicle that could fall and if possible have someone guide you from outside the vehicle.
