In the Devolution Committee, Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang (ODM) was elected Chairperson, replacing Laikipia's John Kinyua. Lamu Senator Anuar Oletiptip (Jubilee) was elected Vice-Chairperson.

Kinyua was transferred from Devolution to ICT to replace Senate Majority Leader Samuel Phoghisio. Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen declined to fill Kinyua's role at Devolution after the purge.

In the Education Committee, Nominated Senator Alice Milgo (Jubilee) was elected Chairperson, taking over from Bomet Senator Christopher Langat. Nominated Senator Agnes Zani (ODM) will deputise Milgo.

Prengei was among the Senators who snubbed Jubilee Party Parliamentary Group meeting which saw Murkomen ousted as Senate Majority leader. He, however, redeemed himself after facing Jubilee's disciplinary committee.

KANU leader and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi was re-elected as ICT Committee Chairperson. Nominated Senator Abshiro Halake (KANU) will deputise him.
