Kiss FM morning show host Kamene Goro has set the record straight on whether Felix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang'o, will be joining her Morning Kiss show after his much-anticipated debut failed to materialise on Monday, July 6.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Kamene explained that the station was planning a formal re-introduction for a man befitting Jalang'o's stature.

Admitting that she was not fully aware regarding the exact date her co-host would be joining, the former TV presenter explained that ahe was sure Jalang'o would be joining her soon and asked his fans to remain cool.

"We are planning a red carpet, we can also knit him a new green suit to introduce him to the show properly. We can't just let Jalang'o into the show without pomp. He will be coming on very soon. We are the only people who can get Jalang'o during Covid-19," stated Goro.

Asked about the duo's chemistry in the new union as she had developed with Andrew Kibe, she noted that the two were already friends and the bond would develop naturally.

"Chemistry is all about friendship and bond. He is a very good friend of mine and you will be shocked what we can accomplish together," she stated.

Jalang'o's fans expressed their disappointment on social media on Monday after he failed to show up despite making a matter-of-fact admission that he would hitting the airwaves on Morning Kiss.

"Yes, I’m taking over your job. This job is mine and you are handing it over to me and I didn’t know that you are leaving, and I didn’t fire you. You left yourself and I have been given an offer to take over your spot….Guys Monday next week, Kamene and Jalas,” the former Milele FM presenter stated on Friday, July 3 in a sit-down with Kibe.

After the revelation, a new hashtag KamenenaJalas hit the social media and an account was born out of it that has since garnered over 11,000 followers.

In the interview, Kibe had given Jalang'o his blessings and praised Goro as a hard-working co-host who was always one of the first people to show up for work.

They two had met in a club in Nairobi in the evening before the announcement but did not discuss the job.

Speaking about the reason for his exit, Kibe disclosed that he was not pleased with how his boss perceived him.

“I caught him looking at me one day and I saw a speck of pity in his eyes. So three months ago I told him I would leave,” Kibe stated.

Rumours had been rife that Jalang'o was behind Kibe's exit from the Waiyaki-based radio station.
