He stated that the investigative piece failed to provide proof that Megascope stole Covid-19 kits donated by Chinese billionaire Jack Ma.

Ngatia stated that he had already gone to court for the adverse mention of his business as well as others included in the exposé.

"Its very bad how NTV associated with the fellow to destroy people's businesses. The matter is already in court and you'll come to know about it soon," Ngatia spoke.

However, Agutu stated that the documents of proof Ngatia claimed were missing were being held by NTV.

The CEO also criticised that the media had formed a practice of mixing business and politics and thus driving investors away from the country.

"Rwanda, Uganda and Nigeria businesses are doing really well. Politicians and media houses don't interfer with businesses.

"This has chased away investors and as the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry president I will bring it to an end," he stated.

Ngatia explained that Megascope had never been involved in corrupt practices even in its dealings with county governments.

In 2018, Shenzhen Mindray, a Chinese-based company, was awarded a contract to supply, install, maintain and facilitate training of the healthcare personnel to handle the equipment but subcontracted Megascope Healthcare Kenya Limited.
