Residents of Thika Town on Saturday, August 21 woke up to three statues that had been erected in the Thika town Central business missing.
While many did not know what happened, a video that surfaced showed what transpired that led to the felling of the structures.
The statues had been erected by the Kiambu County at the Thika Post Office Roundabout.

The woman appeared to be shouting inaudibly as she posed menacingly with the figures in the middle of the road.
After several minutes of shouting with no one paying attention to her, she pushed on one of the statues as it fell onto the road.
She later turned to the remaining two, one being of a woman and the other a child.
After completing the destruction, she got on her knees and later balled herself on the ground.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, a journalist based in Thika explained that the incident occurred on Friday evening.
"She seemed to be suffering from some mental distress," the scribe told this writer over the phone.
Mental Health is among the issues that have emerged with the Covid-19 pandemic. The Ministry of Health has numerously weighed in on mental health with CAS Rashid Aman stating that the Covid-19 pandemic has caused enormous health, socioeconomic and psychological impact on the population.
On June 20, Aman stated that the Ministry had set out to provide mental health and psychosocial support strategies and measures which are critical in the short and long term response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The government, he said, is prioritizing Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) through the provision of mental health and psychological services to the general public, quarantine and hospitalized persons, healthcare workers, and high-risk vulnerable populations.
