Dadasphere CEO and founder Valentine Njoroge has narrated how she accidentally started her journey as both a radio and TV presenter.

During an episode of Engage Talk on Youtube, Ms Njoroge disclosed that she had gone to pick her friend Nini Wacera, who was working at Capital FM at the time, when she was offered the job.

"While I was there, Somoina Kimojino who was the head of radio heard me talk and she said that I had a voice for radio and asked me to do a voice test," Njoroge stated.

It is after the voice test that Kimojino offered her a job at the radio station.

"I read the script and she asked me, 'do you want this?'. Every bone in my body was screaming yes. Then she said, 'let's talk on Monday, I think you have the job'," she continued.

Valentine's mother had always wanted her daughter to be a doctor and news that she had landed a radio presenter job did not sit too well with her.

"She was furious, shaking, so upset. She said that all the money that she spent on my education could have been used to buy property or even a nice car... She was so disappointed," Valentine narrated.

On the other hand, Valentine's father was more receptive of the news.

"He said, congratulations, jobs are hard to find, you got one you like and it sounds like the money will be good. Go right ahead," she disclosed.

Her life as a presenter was born and for more than 10 years now, she has been in the media industry.

Currently, Valentine is an executive producer and a host alongside Mike Wachira and Jason Runo on a show that airs on K24 TV, The Loop.

The show has two segments; the first part where Mike and Valentine analyse issues affecting Kenyans and the second part which delves into issues affecting creative arts and entertainment.

Additionally, Valentine is the Dadasphere CEO and founder, a movement that showcases the brilliance of African women by giving them an opportunity to share their ideas through their stories.
