The body of a man was on Tuesday, November 10, found in a tank used to store treated water at the County Children Office in Machakos county.

A cleaner at the office, Stephen Manthi, is said to have noticed flies at the opening of the tank when he decided to have a look.

Machakos County DCI boss Charles Mutua confirmed the incident saying that the body might have been in the tank for three days.

The identity of the man is yet to be established. The body was taken to Machakos Level 5 Hospital morgue.

Police have since launched investigations into the matter.

In other news, a man collapsed and died on Tuesday outside the Nation Media Group in Nairobi CBD.

Nairobi Sub-county Police Commissioner Mark Wanjala conformed that Police officers were dispatched to the scene of the incident.

However, public officials indicate that the trend could not be linked to the virus as there is no extensive evidence to support the theory.

A report by Daily Nation indicating that the deceased was headed to Kenyatta National Hospital when he collapsed.

Wanjala further noted that a postmortem examination was scheduled to ascertain the cause of death.
