A member of the National Assembly is entangled in a fierce war with 20 of his siblings over Ksh1.4 billion wealth.
The MP, James Murgor (Keiyo North), has been taken to court by some of his siblings after he was accused of sidelining other family members in the tussle.
Murgor is one of the administrators of the estate. He is accused to have denied some of the siblings their legitimate share.
A report by Daily Nation on Thursday, November 19, indicated that the 20 siblings failed to append their signatures on an agreement that had been presented on how the estate would be shared.
The case had been adjourned in July to allow the family to reach a consensus on how to manage the estate left by their late father, former Keiyo Central MP William Murgor.
The family had been given a 60-day window but failed to reach a common ground as the siblings differed over the contents of the agreement presented.
Murgor died in 2006 after battling Alzheimer's disease at the age of 87 leaving behind five wives.
The properties are located in Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet counties with the most contested being a Ksh400 million parcel of land along Eldoret-Iten Road.
The siblings sued the lawmaker for locking them out arguing that they were being discriminated against.
Enid Murgor filed a suit on behalf of her siblings where she accused the MP of bias against his stepsisters and brothers.
James is the first born in the family and was also accused of being biased against his step-brothers and step-sisters.
Enid argued that the lawmaker's actions went against the Keiyo customary laws.
