Her exit comes a year and seven months after she joined Capital FM from Citizen TV

She replaced renowned presenter Cess Mutungi who quit the show after hosting it for nearly ten years.

Muthengi used to host the show alongside Martin Kariuki.

Capital FM also ended the Hits Not Homework show that had been airing every Monday to Thursday evening from 7 pm to 10 pm for the last two decades.

A new show was launched to replace the popular evening show that shaped the direction of music and entertainment in Kenya.

The station unveiled the Hype show on Tuesday, December 1, at 7 pm.
