KDF Announces Interviews for Shortlisted Candidates

Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has announced interview dates and venues for shortlisted candidates in its countrywide recruitment exercise.

In a statement released on Thursday, February 25, the force indicated that the three different classes of recruits would report to different venues for interviews.

The shortlisted candidates include 441 in the Specialist officers category, 75 in the General Service Officer (GSO) Cadets and the majority belonging to the Tradesmen/women category.

All Specialist Officer candidates will be expected to report to Kenya Military Academy (KMA) in Lanet and Nakuru on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 8.00 a.m.

The interviews of the GSO Undergraduate Degree Holder candidates will be the first to be conducted after they report to KMA Lanet and Nakuru on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 8.00 a.m.

Tradesmen/women, on the other hand, will be expected to report to Embakasi Garrison - Nairobi, on Sunday, March 28 2021 at 8.00 a.m.

All candidates will be required to carry an National Identity (ID) Card, Academic and Professional Certificates, Curriculum Vitae and any other Testimonials.

KDF announced that accommodation and food will be provided during the period of interview and required the candidates to carry warm clothing.

The service also noted that unsuccessful candidates will be reimbursed road travelling expenses in accordance with KDF Regulations.

The recruitment exercise, which began on Monday, February 8, was announced in January with measures provided by the Ministry of Health to curb the spread of Covid-19 expected to be observed through the exercise.

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission as well as the National Intelligence Service (NIS) oversaw the process that was seeking to recruit over 4,400 service people.

The recruitment exercise lasted till Friday, February 19, 2021.
