A total of 465 people tested positive for the Coronavirus out of a sample size of 5,691 tested in the last 24 hours.
According to a statement signed by Health CS Mutahi Kagwe on March 7, the total confirmed positive cases are now 108,827.
Unfortunately, two patients succumbed to the disease pushing our cumulative fatalities to 1,876. The Ministry of Health Conveyed its sincere condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their loved ones to the decease.
The cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,333,690. Of the new reported cases , 422 are Kenyans while 43 are foreigners. 279 are males and 186 are females.
The youngest is a one-year-old baby while the oldest is 91 years.
20 patients have recovered from the disease, 17 from various health facilities while 3 are from the Home-Based and Isolation Care. Total recoveries now stand at 87,570.
A total of 488 patients are currently admitted to various health facilities countrywide, while 1,394 patients are on Home Based Isolation and Care.
69 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 23 of whom are on ventilatory support and 36 on supplemental oxygen. 10 patients are on observation.
Another 16 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen all of whom are in the general wards. No patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

Murang'a 1 and Isiolo 1.
Nairobi, which is considered the epicentre of the virus has 16 hospitals where citizens will be able to get the Covid-19 vaccine.
The public hospitals include Mama Lucy, Pumwani and Mbagathi hospitals, Kenyatta, Mathari, Armed Forces Memorial, Moi Airbase, National Spinal Injury, and Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral hospitals have also been earmarked for the vaccination.
The private and faith-based health facilities are St Francis Community, Jamaa Mission, Coptic, Nairobi, Ruaraka’s Uhai Neema, Mater, and Aga Khan hospitals.
