Molo Member of Parliament, Kuria Kimani, has confronted comedian Elsa Majimbo for bashing a local airline.
“This could mean loss of thousands of jobs for employees of the airline. I have used many global airlines and missing a luggage happens quite often, “the MP tweeted.
The comedian bashed the airline for leaving her luggage in another country because of weight violations.
“No apologies were issued. The plane was incredibly small, it looked like a domestic flight one. I would not recommend this airline to be honest. For travellers, avoid it if you can,” Majimbo tweeted.
The local airline, on their website, lists steps one can follow in case of damaged, lost or delayed baggage.
First, the passenger contacts the airline through a call or an email, details of the baggage are taken and then the passenger is given a file reference number.
A reference number can be used in tracking the baggage online.
The airline also adds that if the baggage has been delayed, arrangements will be made to have it delivered to the passenger’s local address.
If a passenger chooses to claim for compensation, he or she should do so in writing within seven days.
Majimbo's fame went global in 2020 during the Covid-19 lockdown period and since her rise to stardom she has been featured in global magazines like Forbes and Teen Vogue.
On March 9, Forbes awarded the comedian alongside former Liberian President, Johnson Sirleaf. The award was given to eight women and was meant to recognize high-achieving women in Africa.
Hollywood stars including Beyoncé and Rihanna have also gifted and worked with Majimbo. Beyoncé sent Majimbo an Ivy Park collection while Rihanna’s Fenty has been sending the comedian Fenty products since 2020.
