Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko's adopted son Gift Osinya showed off his lavish lifestyle after he drove NTV news anchor Fridah Mwaka in a sleek convertible Mercedes Benz.

In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Mwaka completed her interview with Osinya in a stylish manner by sharing her final thoughts while Osinya raised the convertible top and proceeded to start the engine.

The two soon sped off outside Sonko's residence in Nairobi. Mwaka had interviewed Osinya who had scored a B- in the recently released KCSE results.

"I'm elated after receiving the results since I didn't anticipate such results, we thank God," he stated.

Sonko was also elated by the news and took to social media to laud Osinya for his impeccable performance.

"After scoring an impressive 399 marks in KCPE 4 years ago, he proceeded to Lenana School in Nairobi for his secondary education where he has made us proud again by scoring an impressive B - (minus) in his KCSE

"On behalf of my family especially my beloved wife Primrose, I wish to thank you all for the continued support and prayers, and invite you to join us as a family in celebrating the achievements of our son, while thanking God for his mercies upon his life," Sonko stated.

Sonko is fond of showering his family with gifts during momentous occasions. The former Governor gifted Osinya the Benz on his birthday as he turned 19 years old.

Further, he awarded him Ksh399,000 after he scored 399 marks in the 2016 KCPE exams. Sonko also opened an educational account containing Ksh2 million for his education.

Osinya is known for his lavish lifestyle on his social media pages where he displays photos of himself dressed in expensive attire and alongside a collection of high-end cars.

Osinya and his younger brother Satrin were adopted by Sonko after they lost their parents following a terror attack in Likoni, Mombasa County in 2014.
