Gospel artiste Christopher Mosioma (Embarambamba) on Tuesday, May 25, came under heavy condemnation from a section of Kenyans after videos of his performances in a club went viral.

Kenyans, including Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) chair Ezekiel Mutua termed the musicians latest performance as 'gross'.

In a video posted on his Youtube page, Embarambamba explained that his dancing was prompted by the lyrics of the gospel song.

"Before you comment, check what the video is saying. The song condemns those who participate in sin and asks them to shun their ways and repent their sins," he stated.

The musician stated that he had come under heavy condemnation since the video went viral.

"I have been abused and my fans are very angry with me. I want to explain that Jesus came to save the lost and that is why I  was interacting with people at the club. That is because He wanted them to know Him. God bless Kenya," he added.

The musician trended on Twitter at number one the better part of Tuesday morning with many doubting that he was a gospel musician.

"Embarambamba this is grossly incorrect. You listened to cheering voices of deceit and ran yourself into destruction. What you have done today is inexcusable," CAS Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development David Osiany stated.

'I am highly embarrassed by @embarambamba as one of those who offered him Support including interviewing  him on a decent National platform. The video going round is dirty , not anywhere close to what he purports to be :- A gospel Artist," aggrieved NTV anchor Lofty Matambo stated.

The KFCB CEO has previously raised an alarm on his content indicating that the musician could be posing a great danger to himself with his performances.

"Is this style sustainable? Is it even sane? Unless he's superhuman, this guy will hurt himself. Someone, please stop him!" Mutua posed.
