Chief Inspector of police in Gilgil lost Ksh1.1 million after he left the money in his car and went for lunch in a hotel. The inspector had withdrawn the amount and put it in his backpack and he drove to the hotel for lunch, leaving the money in the car. Minutes later, after the alarm went off, he found the backpack and his loaded Cesca pistol gone.

The FBI have affirmed that they would not be taking lead in the murder investigation of slain Somali-American businessman Bashir Mohamud. They stated that they would only follow up on the case if formally requested to do so. 

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) will now be requiring parking attendants to provide photographic evidence before charging motorists with a fine.  This is after residents raised complaints on paying for parking depsite their vehicles not being within the stipulated areas.

Gospel artiste Christoper Musioma alias Embarambamba made headlines again after videos of him performing in a club and grinding on a man and woman surfaced on the internet. His actions were castigated by KFCB CEO Ezekiel Mutua who stated that he had crossed the line. The musician, later on, explained that his dancing was prompted by the lyrics of a gospel song.

The form one selection for 2020 KCPE students, which was supposed to be done this week, was postponed to Tuesday, June 15 by Education CS George Magoha. He added that the announcement should not be a cause for concern for the KCPE candidates and parents.
