So popular are his teachings that he has gained over 300,000 followers and has been verified on Twitter.

Amerix has been at the forefront of various masculinity topics whereby his advice has elicited debate among Kenyans.

This has led to #MasculinitySaturday becoming a trending topic whereby men have become avid subscribers to his narrative.

The reason for the hashtag, he stated in past interviews, is to inspire men to share their adversities. He calls it an open space where men can convey their challenges.

He noted that the male gender ought to subscribe to the clearly defined roles within society. This involves taking charge, becoming the man of the house, and leading the family.

"Your presence as a man will be felt if you play your role as the man of the house. You don't have to be there changing diapers," Amerix stated during a past interview on NTV.

The father of two boys advocates for a certain decorum when male children are dealing with the opposite gender. He notes that this shapes them to develop a sense of responsibility.

"They (boys) have to learn that they are given the responsibility to take care of the girl. I don't teach them to touch them, kiss them. In fact, I tell them don't cry in front of girls," he added.

The controversial advice has however been challenged by a section of audiences who don't take too kindly to his remarks.

Some fault him for allegedly misleading men into the traditional lifestyle where the role of the mother was to take care of the children whereas the father provides for the family.

He has also shared in the past, his journey to a healthier lifestyle by losing 40kgs in seven months. He noted that in 2018 he was struggling with obesity and embraced the fitness lifestyle which led to his weight loss journey.

"The experience was burdensome and torturous at the start; I almost gave up but I was resilient. I pressed on until I began seeing small changes. The results kept me pushing further until I reached my periodic targets," Amerix stated.
