Reports indicate that Caroline Kangogo, the main suspect in the murder of two men, is being assisted by senior rogue police officers in a bid to protect her from being apprehended.

This was confirmed by Juja DCIO Richard Mwaura who detailed that the police bosses are believed to be part of a crime syndicate that runs notorious gangs.

The detective also affirmed that Kangogo was dubbed the cleaner - a specialized person who mars cases by contaminating evidence from a crime scene. She is also believed to be among their top assassins.

Weston Hotel Demolition

DP William Ruto's bid to save his Weston hotel demolition has been dealt a blow after his ally, Murang'a Senator Irungu Kang'ata sought for the court to continue with the court proceedings in its entirety without interference. 

Kang'ata is representing the National Lands Commission (NLC) in the case against Weston hotel's management represented by Ahmednasir Abdullahi.

Missing GSU Officer

The car of General Service Unit (GSU) police officer Joseph Otieno, who has been missing for four days, was found abandoned in Mwiki, Kasarani.

Detectives privy to the investigations have affirmed that a multi-agency team has been formed to conduct a search and rescue operation. Reports revealed that Otieno went missing on Friday, July 9.

Women Riding Bodabodas

Muslim clerics are advocating for a county-by law in order to effectively ban women from riding on boda bodas. The clerics have argued that it's against their faith for women to ride on motorbikes. 

They also pointed out that boda boda riders are synonymous with flouting Islamic laws and also for promoting salacity amongst married and unmarried Muslim women.

Mutua’s Big Chance

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua addressed his intentions with President Uhuru Kenyatta in his recent tour of Ukambani area. 

The governor affirmed that his intention was to milk Uhuru for the sake of the county's development. 

He added that the tour presented the opportune moment for him to engage the President on matters regarding infrastructural and social developments.
