John Ogweno's two wives met for the first time at his burial in Sengre Village, Rachuonyo East Sub-County in Homa Bay County, on Friday, July 23.
The two, Juliet Ogweno and Audrey Chelagat, also sat near each other and both were called to address mourners at the funeral of the late police officer.
Juliet, the first wife broke down while eulogising the late husband who was allegedly shot dead by police corporal Caroline Kangogo.
"John was a loving and caring husband.
"He was a really good person. I do not know what my life without him would be like; now and in the future," Juliet mourned.
Audrey declined to address the mourners when invited, insisting that she was grief-stricken and could not handle her emotions. Ogweno and Audrey met a few years after he had married his first wife Juliet.
Ogweno leaves behind two children, sired with his first wife.
The National Police Service also mourned the 30-year-old. A statement sent by Deputy Inspector-General of Police Edward Mbugua, described Ogweno as a hardworking officer and one loved by many.
Corporal Kangogo, who reportedly died by suicide, reportedly detailed her relationship with Ogweno in an alleged suicide note.
