Nairobi Estates To Face Power Outage Today

Several estates in Nairobi will experience a eight-hour long power outage on Wednesday, August 25.

The outage, announced by Kenya Power, is a result of planned maintenance activities. As a result, several estates Nairobi will experience scheduled power interruptions between 9.00am and 5.00pm.

Some of the estates affected include Uhuru Gardens, Airport View Estate, Bible Society of Kenya, Miller Estate, and Blue Sky.

Dam Estate, Dam II, Langata Barracks, KWS, House of Grace Church, White Star Academy, and Sailing Club along Lang'ata Road will also be affected.

Areas around Carnivore, Phenom Estate, Tamarind Hotel, Carnivore Restaurant, Langata Shopping Centre, Karting Club, and West Park Police will also suffer power interruptions.

Estates along the Southern By-pass, and estates along Shree Cutch Temple will go without power for the indicated period. Other areas to be affected include Texas Cancer Centre, Jonathan Gloag Academy, Shell Petrol Station, AP Camp, Akiba Estate, Civil Servant Estate, and Funguo Estate.

This comes just a day after court proceedings at the Milimani Law Courts, Nairobi were halted after a four-hour disruption caused by a power outage.

Kenya Power has asked residents of Nairobi to be patient during the power interruption period.
