Media mogul Samuel Kamau Macharia, popularly known as SK Macharia, was all smiles after his wife gifted him a brand new range rover.
In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke on Monday, October 4, Macharia's wife Purity Gathoni Macharia, held his hand and led him towards the black Range Rover parked in front of their mansion.
Gathoni also led family members and close friends in singing and dancing a happy birthday song for the Royal Media Services (RMS) billionaire.
The car spotted a shiny black exterior with artistic black and brown leather seats. Macharia, who was born in October 1942, turns 79 years old this year.
The Range Rover will be an addition to the tycoon's collection of luxury cars. He is believed to be a lover of sports cars, according to multiple sources.
A section of Kenyans lauded the wife for the gift and praised the 79-year-old tycoon as a hardworking entrepreneur.
"Macharia has worked hard, unlike others, big up his whole family. Happy birthday, SK," celebrated one Teddy.
"Men of culture get gifted Range Rover Vogue," added another.
SK Macharia is also known for throwing lavish parties to mark his birthday as proven in 2015 when he turned 75 years old.
The star-studded event, which was held at his lavish Runda home, comprised music and a buffet. His friends wished him a happy year and toasted to his success.
Former Royal Media Services Chief Operating Officers (COO) and incumbent Lands Cabinet Secretary, Farida Karoney, RMS Managing Director Wachira Waruru, then Nation Media Group CEO Wilfred Kiboro were in attendance.
"We love you, we respect you. We appreciate you. God is with you and he has favoured you since you were young," his daughter Shiku Macharia adored him during the party.
